RABBITS BUNNY TOSS SOURED BY OVERTIME LOSS TO TOLEDO

GREENVILLE, S.C.  – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits saw their Bunny Toss soured by a 3-2 overtime loss to the Toledo Walleye on Saturday night at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Toledo jumped out to the early lead at 4:31 into the first period with a Brett Boeing goal. After a flurry of chances for the Swamp Rabbits, Corbin Baldwin brought down the rain of stuffed animals with his first goal of the season, tying the game at 1-1 at the 14:22 mark. Greenville needed just 63 seconds of the second period to take the 2-1 lead as Max Zimmer rifled his ninth goal of the season into the back of the net. Early in the third period, Toledo tied the game at 2-2 with Cole Fraser’s second of the season at the 1:53 mark.  Fraser’s goal would send the Swamp Rabbits and the Walleye into overtime, where Toledo need just 24 seconds to take the 3-2 victory with TJ Hensick’s 15th goal of the season. With the loss, the Swamp Rabbits fall to 9-10-2-1 while the Walleye improve to 15-6-0-1 on the season. Greenville and Toledo will rematch at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Sunday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. Swamp Rabbits Single Game Tickets are on sale now!
