QUICK BITS
MONDAY MATCHUP:
The Swamp Rabbits defeated the Atlanta Gladiators 5-2 on Monday night in Georgia. Atlanta struck first with a Greg Campbell goal at 8:41 in the first period. Diego Cuglietta would score his first of the night at 9:48, tying the game just before the halfway point of the first. Cuglietta quickly scored his second of three, 3:55 into the second period, his final not coming until the 3:21 mark of the third. Dallas Gerads would tack on another second period goal extending the Swamp Rabbits lead to 3-1 with 6:47 left to play in the second. Atlanta’s Cody Sylvester would bring the Gladiators to within one before the end of the second, but that would not prove enough to beat the Swamp Rabbits. Greenville turned a one goal lead into a three goal win in the third period, thanks to goals by Diego Cuglietta and Quin Foreman, his first as a Swamp Rabbit.
SCOUTING THE STINGRAYS:

FIRST IMPRESSION:
The Swamp Rabbits acquired forward Quin Foreman on November 13th. Foreman made his first appearance for the Swamp Rabbits Monday night against the Gladiators. Foreman scored his first goal of the season and his first for Greenville in the third period. Knocking the puck free in the neutral zone, Foreman set himself up for a breakaway goal, extending the swamp rabbits lead to three, the final goal in Monday night’s win.
FABULOUS FITZPATRICK:
Swamp Rabbits goalie Evan Fitzpatrick is on fire in his first three games this season. Fitz is ranked fourth in the ECHL with a 1.34 goals against average. Fitzpatrick holds a 3-1 record, with a .949 save percentage (6th in ECHL).
DAZZLING DIEGO:
Diego Cuglietta has been on fire ever since he put a Greenville sweater on. Cuglietta has three goals and three assists since joining the Swamp Rabbits on November 9th. On Monday night, Cuglietta scored his first goal of the season, early in the first, with a rocket from the point. He followed that up with two more, batting one out of the air and completing the hat trick in style as the Swamp Rabbits cruised to a 5-2 victory.
