(GREENVILLE, S.C.) – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Ontario Reign, announced in conjunction with Palmetto Sports & Entertainment (WHNS/Gray Media) that both organizations have a renewed broadcast partnership for the 2026–27 ECHL season, bringing 13 live Swamp Rabbits home games to local viewers across the Upstate and western North Carolina for free.
Coverage begins Friday, Oct. 16, as the Swamp Rabbits host the Atlanta Gladiators
for Opening Night, presented by Bon Secours St. Francis Health System at Bon Secours Wellness Arena at 7:05 p.m. ET on Palmetto Sports & Entertainment.
The 2026–27 broadcast schedule is highlighted by the annual School Day Game on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 10:30 a.m. ET against the Orlando Solar Bears. For a second straight season, more
than 10,000 students from across the Upstate will pack the arena as the classroom meets the rink, combining hands-on learning with fast-paced professional hockey. Palmetto Sports will air a special pregame show leading into live game coverage, which will air on FOX Carolina
(WHNS).
"We're thankful to have a media partner like Fox Carolina and Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network. Televising our games only enhances our ability to share our story with our fans and the Upstate community, and to team up in this endeavor for a third season in a row is special,” said Mark Binetti, Senior Director of Communications & Team Services, and “Voice of the Swamp Rabbits”. “I want to thank Bryce Caldwell and his team at Fox Carolina and Palmetto Sports + Entertainment for their partnership and vision, and look forward to an exciting season for the Swamp Rabbits."
“Palmetto Sports & Entertainment is dedicated to showcasing local sports and connecting
Upstate fans with the teams they love,” said Bryce Caldwell, Vice President and General
Manager of WHNS. “Building on our inaugural broadcast season, we are thrilled to renew
our partnership with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. From Opening Night on Palmetto
Sports to the electric atmosphere of the School Day Game on FOX Carolina, this 13-game
lineup delivers high-caliber, family-friendly hockey straight to our viewers’ living rooms.”
Thirteen home games will air live on Palmetto Sports & Entertainment, available free over
the air with an antenna on WHNS 21.2 and on Spectrum channel 195. The Nov. 10 School
Day Game will air exclusively on FOX Carolina (WHNS Channel 21). Binetti, a 14-year play-by-play broadcasting veteran and three-time ECHL Broadcaster of the Year Finalist, will be joined on-air by Matt Caldwell, who is entering his eighth season as the Analyst of the Swamp Rabbits Broadcast Network.
