(GREENVILLE, S.C.) – Cam Johnson stopped all 21 shots he saw from the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and coupled with Isaac Nurse’s strike with 78 seconds to play in the first and Max Graham’s empty-netter, powered the Florida Everblades to a 2-0 win on Saturday afternoon. The loss ends the Swamp Rabbits franchise-record six-game point streak to start the new season, stopping at 4-0-2-0.
Isaac Nurse potted the lone goal for the vast majority of regulation late in the first period. With 78 seconds remaining, Mark Senden tried to wrap around on Swamp Rabbits net-minder Owen Flores, but was denied on the attempt. The puck bounced out to Nurse in the slot, who rifled a shot past Flores in traffic to put the Everblades up 1-0 (Senden and Jordan Sambrook assisted). Cam Johnson, in net for Florida, stopped four shots in the first period and another nine in the second to keep it 1-0 after 40 minutes.
The Swamp Rabbits tried to rally late with Flores pulled for the extra attacker, but were thwarted with 3.5 seconds to play when Max Graham hit the empty net, forcing the score to 2-0. Johnson turned away the final eight shots he faced to earn his 21-save shutout and split the weekend with the Swamp Rabbits.
Owen Flores turned aside all but one of 38 shots faced, suffering the defeat despite a spectacular effort (2-1-1-0).
The Swamp Rabbits conclude their three-game weekend on the road in their first of eight meetings of the 2026-27 ECHL Season. Puck drop at Enmarket Arena is slated for 3:00 p.m. EST.
