GREENVILLE, S.C. – A late shorthanded goal from Frédéric Létourneau lifted the Greenville Swamp Rabbits over the Atlanta Gladiators, in come-from-behind fashion, 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. In the opening moments of the first period, Greenville would take the 1-0 lead with a power play goal by Diego Cuglietta, his ninth of the season, at the 3:02 mark. Inside of the first two minutes of the second period, Kameron Kielly found the back of the net to tie the game for Atlanta. Mike Pelech would add to the Gladiators lead at 11:56 into the period after tipping the puck into the back of the net. At the 1:30 mark of the second period, Mike Pelech scored to tie the game for the Gladiators before his teammate, Kameron Kielly gave Atlanta the 3-2 lead at 2:42. Midway through the third period, Greenville’s Liam Pecararo scored his ninth goal of the season to tie the game at 2-2 at the 8:24 mark. After taking a penalty late in the frame, Greenville would score the game-winning goal as Frédéric Létourneau turned a shorthanded breakaway into his second of the season to secure the victory. With the victory, the Swamp Rabbits improve to 9-9-1-1 while the Gladiators fall to 10-9-2-0 on the season.
