TURKEY DAY TEST:

The Swamp Rabbits took on the Atlanta Gladiators in a classic Thanksgiving Night matchup. Liam Pecararo would quickly score the first goal of the game just :51 seconds in. Hugo Roy tied the game for the Gladiators before the end of the first period with a short handed goal at 19:58. Roy would quickly score a second goal at 3:27 of the second, giving Atlanta their first lead of the night. The Gladiators built upon that lead, scoring two more in the second period. A different looking Greenville team took the ice for the third period, dominating shots on goal while controlling the puck well. Liam Pecararo scored his second of the night 1:44 into the third, and assisted a Diego Cuglietta goal at the 18:49 mark. Despite a valiant third period effort, and outshooting their opponent 45-31,  the Swamp Rabbits fell to the Gladiators 4-3 on Thursday evening. 

BATLLE ON BLACK FRIDAY:

The Greenville Swamp Rabbits travel from Duluth, Georgia to North Charleston, South Carolina to take on the Stingrays.  South Carolina brings a 5-6 record into Friday night led by forward and lead goal scorer Justin Florek. Florek has four goals in eleven games this season. The Stingrays points leader is Jordan Subban (9) who has three goals and six assists in eleven games. Forward Carter Cowlthorp scored two of the three Rays goals last game, on 11/23, against Jacksonville, but it would not prove enough for the win. The Stingrays have played three different goalies through their first eleven games, with former Rabbit, Ryan Bednard seeing the most action. Bednard has a 2-4 record (1-2 vs. GRN), a goals against average of 2.80 and a .911 save percentage. Hunter Shepard has seen action in four games, holding a 2-2 record (1-0 vs. GRN), .926sv% and 2.55GAA. 

A FRESH FITZ: 

Swamp Rabbits goalie Evan Fitzpatrick Made his return to action Thursday night in Duluth after missing some games due to injury. Fitzpatrick holds a 1-3 record in 4 games. Fitz is ranked 13th in the ECHL for goals against average (2.03) and save percentage (.927).

NASTY NIKITA: 

Nikita Pavlychev has been quick to contribute since joining the Swamp Rabbits on November, 17th. Pavlychev has three goals and two assists in three games with Greenville this season, helping push the Swamp Rabbits to victory twice last weekend. Pavlychev brings a three game point streak into Friday Nights Game.

DANGEROUS DALLAS:

Dallas Gerads is among four Swamp Rabbits players to appear in all 12 games this season, leading that group in goals, assists, points, and penalty minutes. Gerads has been very productive this season, scoring three goals and four assists; one of each coming against the Stingrays. 

WHAT ON TAP:

The Swamp Rabbits will take on the Stingrays in a three game set next weekend. The Rabbits travel to North Charleston for games on Friday and Saturday, before returning to Greenville for the rubber match on Sunday. The Swamp Rabbits and Stingrays have met four times this season, splitting the series 2-2 so far; with Greenville outsourcing their in-state rival 8-7 in those games.
