SWAMP RABBITS SIGN FORWARD MIKE McNAMEE

Greenville, SC –  The Greenville Swamp Rabbits have signed forward Mike McNamee to a Standard Player Contract for the 2020-21 season. McNamee played under Andrew Lord last season with the Cardiff Devils and produced 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists) in 42 games. “McNamee is a dynamic center and effective skater,” said Swamp Rabbits Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Andrew Lord. “He plays a solid, well rounded game and can drive offense with his high end skill set.” Prior to joining Cardiff, McNamee, 28, dressed for the Aalborg Pirates in Denmark for the 2018-19 campaign and finished fourth in team scoring with 31 points (15 goals, 16 assists) in 32 games. McNamee’s career season came in 2017-18 with Germany’s EC Bad Nauheim, cruising to 50 points (20 goals, 30 assists) in 44 games. The Perth, Ontario native has 12 games of American Hockey League experience under his belt with the Syracuse Crunch. McNamee debuted in professional hockey on March 3, 2017 for Syracuse against the Hershey Bears, and tallied his first professional point on March 15, 2017 against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Prior to turning pro, McNamee appeared in four seasons with Carleton University and totaled 135 points (50 goals, 85 assists) across four seasons. In addition to hockey, McNamee is a rising singer/songwriter who performs under the name “Boston Levi.” McNamee’s new single “Feel it All” was recently released on November 20 and is available to download online at BostonLeviMusic.com. Single game tickets for Greenville Swamp Rabbits hockey are on sale now! The Greenville Swamp Rabbits will welcome fans back inside Bon Secours Wellness Arena for live entertainment on December 5.
