GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes, have suspended regular season play for the remainder of the 2019–20 season, effective immediately. The decision was made by team principals in cooperation with the ECHL league office and the Board of Governors to proactively address concerns regarding COVID-19, known more commonly as Coronavirus. The outcome was reached in the collective interests of public safety, the health of players, team and arena staff, and most importantly, our fans. The Swamp Rabbits and the ECHL have taken these measures to help mitigate the spread of the virus throughout the United States. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are confident that this is a necessary course of action. More information will be released via email, social media, and on SwampRabbits.com, as it becomes available.
